Role Purpose
Leading and managing the sales and operational performance of a telesales office for a market leading consumer services organisation that is undergoing significant transformation.
Providing line management and leadership to Team Managers.
Key measures of success:
Achievement of headline revenue targetsIncreasing conversion rates across all channels
Improving quality standards across all financial and compliance KPI's
Development of a resilient and scalable operation through embedding a performance management culture focussed on developing individuals potential
Supporting the technological enhancements and product development work required to deliver the
financial targets
Key Duties and Responsibilities
There are a number of key aspects to this role:
Work effectively with the Executive & Management Teams on the strategic plan to deliver the business objectives ensuring the key milestones in terms of operational sales/ conversion rates, IT
infrastructure, personnel and support are included
Manage the recruitment and training / development of all Telesales staff - supported by a dedicated HR team
Develop and monitor KPI performance in conjunction with the finance teams to ensure transparency of performance and shared clarity on required future actions is achieved
Control and manage the telesales teams to achieve sales targets as stated in the business plan
Encourage the use of new technology and working practices to meet the evolving needs of the business
Maintain high morale and energy levels whilst maintaining effective working relationships
Motivate all staff to improve and achieve maximum performance
Monitor and encourage the long-term development of staff
Ensure day to day departmental training requirements are regularly identified and action is taken as appropriate
Personal Specification
Ideal experience:
Extensive Telesales Management experience channel routes to market (inbound, outbound & webchat) preferably within a direct to consumer environment.
An understanding of marketing / direct marketing would be advantageous
Experienced selling intangible service type 700
A proven operational leader, capable of building and leading large and diverse teams which can perform at the highest level
A track record of working cross-functionally in a complex and rapidly changing organisation and environment
Personality Attributes & Skills:
Highly motivated and autonomous, capable of making their own decisions whilst respecting the strategic direction
A self confident, strong character Well organised, disciplined and delivery ocussed
A team player, excellent at building relationships who always takes a business first view - not egocentric in any way
has an instinct for customer needs, selling and making money
Analytical & uncompromising in the pursuit of performance improvement
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Energetic, enthusiastic and tenacious and able to response in a fast moving environment
Structured and organised, ideally with Project Management skills
Able to translate commercial goals into a set of deliverable objectives for the telesales team

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
