This new role is an excellent opportunity for passionate D&I professionals to leverage their vision and expertise by implementing our Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) strategy in a global and highly complex work environment. The Global Manager/Director, D&I will be responsible to globally drive and orchestrate the Springer Nature Group Diversity & Inclusion strategy; will partner with various teams across the business and will be the primary contact for managers, employees and external partners for all D&I matters. The position will be based in Berlin, Heidelberg, London, or New York.
Responsibilities
Develop D&I framework, policies and processes
Provide strategic advice, engage with stake holders and consult with senior management on D&I initiatives
Coordinate D&I Advisory Group, Advocates and Employee Resource Groups to ensure alignment with strategy and D&I Council
Integrate the D&I strategy into business processes including recruitment, performance management, leadership development, employee engagement and retention
Assess, create and implement global D&I initiatives/programs as well as support regional and/or business activities
Communicate globally to raise visibility of D&I measures
Build and monitor diversity metrics to ensure effective implementation and impact
Build and monitor budget
Experience, skills and qualifications
Essential:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in a related field preferred

years expertise in a D&I function
Sound D&I knowledge (Research, Networking, Benchmarks, Best practices)
Proven ability to think strategically & creatively around D&I application to HR, the business and employees
Strong communicator who can build solid relationships at all levels of the organization and influence collaborative outcome
Organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Experience in a global environment using remote communications; high intercultural awareness
Knowledge of related HR laws and regulations
Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
Fluent English language skills
Ability to travel internationally monthly
Desirable:
High proficiency in a second language
Experience in the publishing/media industry
