CompDrug is seeking talented counselors to provide clinical services located within Grafton Correctional Institution.  CompDrug brings a mental health approach to treatment and is seeking a counselor who will bring the same.  The successful candidate will provide counseling in both individual and group sessions, develop group topics, and maintain required documentation.  This position requires empathy and respect, the ability to set boundaries and a desire to work as part of a treatment team.  Previous work or volunteer experience in mental health, psychology or addiction treatment required.

This position implements the CompDrug treatment philosophy through a combination of clinical, administrative, and clerical responsibilities in a correctional institution and highly regulated setting.  Must be able to give full attention to detail amid the distractions of a fast-paced group environment, not only be technically sound and proficient in the administrative aspects of the job but must have the ability and willingness to develop and maintain positive professional relationships with agency staff, corrections staff, and clients.  Must effectively, accurately and confidentially communicate in written and verbal form, while dealing with agency staff, corrections staff, and clients with compassion and empathy.


 


Essential Functions:


·       Case management of individual caseload including assessment, master treatment plan, and monitoring client progress.  


·       Provide individual counseling, group counseling, and case management services. 


·       Assist in providing and coordinating training, seminars, recreational activities, special events. 


·       Model pro-social adult behavior


·       Collaborate with treatment team members to provide care to community members and to present as a united team


·       Support and monitor crew functions.   


·       Create and maintain appropriate and required records and documentation 


·       To participate, as may be needed, inpatient processing, assessment, and monitoring. 


·       To participate in patient case finding and follow-up services.  


·       To perform other duties deemed necessary to the Corporations’ mission and, as may be assigned by supervisor.


·       Assist with the NPI process and establishment and maintenance of CAQH profile, if requested


·       Assist with the credentialing process, if requested


·       Participate in the annual BCI and FBI background check processes


·       Maintain required professional licensure/credential

  • LCDC II or III, LPC, LSW.

  • Working knowledge and understanding of addiction and mental health

  • One to three years experience as an intern, counselor, or case manager in the addiction and mental health field

  • Strong desire to learn, develop an understanding of the TC modality

  • ?Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with peers and patients with respect and empathy

  • Strong clinical documentation skills



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
